YouTube begins the fight against clickbait

Google has announced the beginning of the fight against "clickbait" on the YouTube video hosting pages. The company writes about this in its blog.
First of all, this will affect videos that cover or pretend to cover news and the latest events in the world. A clickbait video, according to Google, will be one in which the title or thumbnail (image) promises something that is not actually in the video itself. Such content misleads YouTube users, who consider themselves "disappointed and deceived." Which spoils the reputation of the platform.
- Google explained that YouTube users visit the site in search of truthful information, and not everyone can distinguish a clickbait title from a real one.
For example, if the title of the video contains the phrase "main economic news", but the video itself does not contain a word about the economy, such content will be blocked on the platform.
The fight against clickbait will begin in India. The company did not say which countries it will continue to cover.
